Consumers Credit Union Promotes Bob Moore to Office Manager for Gull Road

Kalamazoo, Mich. – Bob Moore has been promoted to Office Manager for Consumers Credit Union’s Gull Road Office, 5940 Gull Road, Kalamazoo. His duties include overseeing daily operations of the office, providing coaching and training support for his staff, meeting sales goals, and making connections with local businesses.

“I really enjoy being able to help members while in difficult situations,” says Moore. “It’s rewarding to be able to give suggestions and/or direction to help our members get back to better times.”

He joined Consumers in 2005 as a Commercial Credit Analyst for Business Services. Realizing he wanted to work more closely with members and their financial needs, Moore eventually trained to become a Member Service Representative (MSR), and soon after, was promoted to Assistant Office Manager for Gull Road.

Now, as Office Manager, Moore looks forward to exceeding growth goals for his individual office and impacting his staff. His other accomplishments include earning a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Western Michigan University and Business Lending Credit Analysis Certification from the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Business Lending Institute.

Consumers Credit Union Promotes Molly Whitfield to Assistant Office Manager

Kalamazoo, Mich. – Molly Whitfield has been promoted to Assistant Office Manager for Consumers Credit Union’s West Main Office, 5018 West Main Street, Kalamazoo. She’s responsible for coaching and staff development, growing and nurturing business accounts, and supporting all aspects of member relations.

Whitfield has been with Consumers since 2008 and plans to continue to grow in her management role, with a personal goal of becoming an Office Manager or supervising a group of offices. “I feel privileged having been able to grow with the company and love serving our members,” says Whitfield, whose career began as a part-time Teller but soon moved into a full-time role of Member Service Representative and Loan Officer.

Whitfield was recently chosen for a national scholarship through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) to be part of the GAC Crashers – a group comprised of 15 young credit union professionals under age 30 who annually attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C.  

She also strongly believes in supporting her local community, participating in Meals on Wheels, Walk MS, Consumers Sunburst 5K, and Relay for Life.
